C-mount lenses particularly are extremely cheap. I think that could be the plan for many who purchase a BM Pocket. So for a S16 sensor with a 3x crop, you could purchase old 16mm film lenses second-hand to use with little issues. One of the best things about the micro four thirds mount is that the flange distance (space between the back of the lens and the sensor) is so small that you can adapt almost any lens mount to it. A 'normal' 25mm (50mm equivalent) will be a 75mm. But keep in mind that there will be an additional crop factor added to them with the BM Pocket. There are plenty of micro four thirds lenses out there that provide the equivalent field of view to many popular larger sensor lenses. The equivalent field of view would be 135mm on a 3x crop, but it will have the same depth of field characteristics as a 45mm, because that's what it actually is. A 45mm is still a 45mm on a S16 sensor, it just uses a smaller section of the image circle. In this spirit we encourage detailed and insightful posts, comments, and discussions on the Cinema Arts. Please remember that simply posting your film or page for views or subscriptions is not allowed. For example, you can detail lighting setups, explain how a particularly complex shot was achieved, or go over any setbacks that hit production and what you did to overcome them.Īll submission statements must be at least 100 characters in length and be submitted within 30 minutes of submitting your post. You will go from f5.6 to f11 with the 2x converter though. Adding a 2x converter to that will make it a 900mm equivalent. Outline your involvement in the project and provide some insight on how it was made. The 35mm equivalent is the focal length x the crop factor, so a 300mm lens on a sensor with a 1.5x crop factor would be 450mm equivalent. If sharing your work and not seeking advice, your post must serve an educational purpose for the rest of the community. It may also help if you provide some of your own thoughts on your work, such as what you see as your strengths or areas of improvement and why. There are many aspects to filmmaking, so specifying what you want people to focus on will get you better results than simply asking for general feedback. If you are seeking advice or feedback, explain what it is you need help with, whether that's lighting, cinematography, audio, editing, or something else entirely. If submitting a film, trailer, or other creative content, you must select the "FILM" flair and include a submission statement (a comment on your post) elaborating on the following:
